Wisconsin · Timber buyers & mill directory
3 primary wood processors are listed in Dunn County, Wisconsin. The mix is 2 sawmills. The addresses run to Colfax, Menomonie and New Auburn. If you came looking for a sawmill near me, this is the Dunn County end of that question: every address below is published, yours is not, so the haul is yours to measure.
These are published facility records, not offers to buy. Some mills take delivered logs but do not buy standing timber. No listing establishes current buying, prices or gate hours; call before hauling.
Trees still on your land? Start with the sale guide. If you own or are authorized to sell the tract, you can request bids for the standing timber; the directory is not a bid from a mill.
Read the standing timber guide →Request bids for my tract →Browse the published listings and check the species, address and contact source. Call to confirm the mill is operating, accepts your load and can receive it before you travel.
Browse local listings →Find your facility in the list, open its record, then use that record’s own claim link. Records without a published address have no separate claim page.
Find my mill’s record →The Dunn County records name 9 materials between them - pine, softwood, ash, basswood, cherry and maple among others - with pine on 2 of the 3 listings.
3 of the 3 listings name what they produce: custom sawing, lumber, crossties, poles, posts and timbers.
Every line above is counted off the 3 agency records listed below and nothing else. No document says whether any of these gates is buying today, what it pays, or how far it will haul.
Species accepted, and how many listings name each
Alphabetical, nothing held back on a second page. Every listing in Dunn County has a page of its own - click a name for its address, what it takes, and the mills nearest to it.

Towns on these records: Colfax, Menomonie, New Auburn. The town is the closest this page can put a gate to your own ground - nothing here knows where you are standing, and a directory that guessed would be inventing the one fact that decides a haul.
Pine is named on more of these Dunn County records than anything else, and species decides more of what a load is worth than the gate it goes through. There is a guide here for Southern yellow pine, each one covering grade, form, the defects that cost money and what the wood is normally cut for. The reference list adds a row on ash and basswood - what buyers take each for, and the catch.
These 3 listings are 1% of everything the Wisconsin sources publish, concentrated in one county. A mill does not care which line your ground sits behind, so read outward: all 211 Wisconsin listings cover 63 counties, 34 of which carry enough listings for a page of their own.
None of this says whether a gate in Dunn County is open or what a load would fetch - no agency document records that. A price comes out of a sale run properly: the landowner's guide to selling timber takes the steps in the order they happen, sealed bidding puts one tract in front of several buyers at once instead of taking the first number offered, and a consulting forester runs the whole thing for you if you would rather not.
The nearest counties with a list of their own, ordered by the straight-line distance between the mills' published coordinates. Straight lines, not road miles - and a gate one county over is often still the closest one to your gate.
Fetched 2026-08-18. Fields are never merged between documents, so a listing from a source with no phone number stays without one, and AXE USA has not contacted, checked or verified any business on this page.
